Brackish Water - Reverse Osmosis Systems |
Brackish Water - Brackish water is used in reverse osmosis systems. Brackish water is technically defined as water having TDS levels up to 6,000 mg/L, but is generally water that is too salty to be considered potable, but not salty enough to be considered seawater. The World Health Organization (WHO) salt limit for potable water is 1,000 mg/L TDS. By comparison, seawater ranges from about 33,000 mg/L to about 40,000 mg/L.
