RO Biocides & Disinfectants

Non-oxidizing, non-ionic biocides can be used either on line or as part of a cleaning program to control biofouling in reverse osmosis membranes. Silt Density Index (SDI) has become the accepted standard for assessing the suitability of membrane processes. The SDI value is a measure of the decline in filtration rate of a membrane filter and is an indirect "measure" of all suspended solids, bacterial, and colloidal matter in the water to be treated.
